閱讀、思維、說話

  • 發展閱讀能力﹕藉圖書教學和不同的課外補充讀物，協助學生掌握不同識字策略及閱讀策略；
  • 各級均滲入不同的閱讀策略，例如：概念圖和時間軸，提升學生高層次的閱讀及思考能力；
  • 在一及二年級推行圖書教學，以富趣味性的圖書作為教材，培養他們的閱讀興趣；
  • 利用「喜悅寫意」課程，提高學生的識字量、語文基礎及學習興趣；
  • 與專業機構合作，發展校本課程
    參與教育局小學校本課程發展支援服務，發展中文校本課程，提升學生的中文閱讀及寫作能力。
  • 加強學習策略：本學年將延續並深化閱讀及寫作策略訓練，重新檢視縱向能力及學習策略發展架構圖。按各級學生的基本能力需要，在各級閱讀及寫作教學中滲入不同的重點學習策略，例如﹕部首識字、故事手掌、找關鍵詞、六何法、時間線、六頂帽子思考法、特徵列舉等高層次思維技巧，以提升學生高層次的閱讀及思考能力；
  • 協助學生掌握聆聽要訣；
  • 協助學生提昇說話能力；
  • 訓練學生利用筆記簿摘錄學習重點。

寫作

  • 在課堂加入創意寫作的訓練，例如：腦圖、強烈組合法、推測後果、加入細節豐富情境等，培養學生發展有創意的思考能力；
  • 透過全班評講，改進學生學習；
  • 設置簡單的評量表讓學生進行同儕互評，彼此學習、觀摩，提高寫作成效。
  • 持續發展校本抽離式資優寫作課程，共同設計課堂，加入高層次思維技巧、創造力和個人及社交能力等三大資優教育元素，有系統、有方向地啟發學生的創意，提升他們的寫作能力。

課程發展簡介

本科曾與多個專業機構合作發展中文科的教與學：

  • 參與「教育局校本到校支援服務」計劃，主題是「優化課程規劃與實踐，促進學生欣賞中華文化，厚植家國情懷」，進一步培養學生欣賞中華文化和國民身分認同。
  • 參與教育局及香港中文大學合辦之「促進實踐社群以優化小班教學」支援計劃，發展跨學科圖書教學課程。透過共同備課、觀課，交流和深層探討有效的小班教學策略，目的加強教師對課研的反思及教學內容的編排，並且透過與友校交流中文科小班教學實踐的寶貴經驗，促進彼此之間的分享與交流，建立專業學習社群。
  • 參與教育局資優教育教師網絡(中國語文科)，推展中文科校本資優教育課程，透過運用創意孕育模式、平行課程模式、高層次思維技巧及不同資優教育元素等，促進學生的語文及思維能力，提升其學習動機及興趣。更曾獲教育局資優教育組邀請，於資優教育學校網絡計劃中擔任核心學校，與不同學校進行專業交流與分享。

學習活動

舉行多元化的學習活動，包括中華文化日、喜閱寫意日、詩歌推廣活動、親親課堂等，提升學生的學習能力及興趣。

  • 中華文化日
    鼓勵學生穿著華服參與，透過校園廣播站宣揚勤勞的中國美德，同時設立與主題相關的攤位遊戲，例如書法體驗活動、立體龍小手工、新年攤位及電子遊戲活動等，讓學生能更全面地認識中華文化，增加學習闊度，提升文化及文學素養，培養學生審美情趣。
  • 喜閱寫意日
    小一至小三在下學期試後舉行喜悅寫意日，設立不同的攤位遊戲，鞏固學生的語文基礎，提升其認讀、排句及寫作能力。
  • 詩歌推廣活動
  • 查字典比賽:
    讓二及三年級學生掌握查字典的方法及學習重點，指導學生學習查字典及自學。
  • 中華文化閣小息活動:
    讓同學在小息時透過遊戲感受中華文化。

校本教材

配合教育局在中文科加入文言經典建議篇章，及本學年之教科書「我愛學語文(第二版)」，重組校本教材《我愛學古詩》小冊子，各級一本。

優化說話練習小冊子(看圖說故事/個人短講/小組討論)，讓學生在家中亦可恆常地進行說話練習。

小一至小三設「詞語銀行」詞庫簿，為強化學生認字、讀字、寫作及自學的能力，鼓勵同學多讀多寫，建立恆常習慣。

]]> Overall Objectives

  • To provide every student with the opportunity to develop the maximum degree of functional competence in English that he or she is capable of, given the constraints inherent in the situation. Competence in those domains of use which are specifically appropriate to the situation in Hong Kong will be emphasized.
  • Domains:
    –    English as a key to communication
    –    English as a tool for study
    –    English as a medium of pleasure and entertainment
  • To enhance our students’ ability of the four basic English lianguage skills: reading,
  • speaking, listening and writing
  • To develop competence in English as a medium of instruction for further studies
  • To provide an enjoyable atmosphere to motivate pupils’ interests in learning English
  • To apply English in daily life
  • To provide an opportunity to use English as a medium of communication with other residents

Objectives for this Year 

  1. Facilitate students’ understanding of the Motherland
  2. Facilitate students utilizing various learning methods and tools.
  3. Develop students reading habits.

Developing a school-based curriculum

  • Implement the developed English curriculum which focuses on reading to writing in a variety of interesting contexts. We use story-based approach in P.1-2 to enhance students’ motivation in learning English. For P.3-4, we integrated the social and emotional strategies into the English curriculum. We join the school support service this year. For P.5-6, we use project-based approach in some of the modules.

Reading

  • Teachers will incorporate different reading strategies in the reading tasks.
  • NET teacher will have reading workshops in primary 1 to 2. Students will enjoy the reading workshop with our NET teacher, Miss Elizabeth. In order to raise our students’ interests in reading English, parents are invited to join our reading workshops to read and play with our students.
  • Miss Liz Time & English World
  • A Reading Club is established to help promote English reading.

Writing

  • Teachers will incorporate different writing strategies in the writing tasks. The use of different graphic organizers will help students to gather information and organize their ideas for writing.
  • Students work in small groups on a shared piece of writing. After the class and the group writing, students are more confident and well-trained to do their individual writing.

Listening and Speaking

  • Listening and speaking skills are integrated in daily lessons. Students’ listening and speaking skills will be enhanced through the cooperative learning activities.
  • The Interview skills workshop equips our P.6 students with the speaking and conversational skills in English. There is plenty of chance for students to practice their speaking and conversational skills.
  • Students can visit “the English Corner” during recess and enjoy speaking in English with their classmates.

English Fun Day

  • English Fun Day was on the 26th of November. The theme was festivals. Students enjoyed learning more about the Chinese festivals, Chinese New Year and Winter Solstice. In the lesson, P1-3 students drew pictures and presented their favourite festival for the class to guess. P4-6 students took on a word puzzle about festivals. During the recess times, students played games including matching festivals with the correct meaning and exploring mystery boxes to guess the festival. Students could also vote for their favourite festival and take home QR codes to read books about festivals. It was a wonderful day.

專題研習

  • 三年級研習題目(以STEAM為本) : 夏天也不用開冷氣(怎樣製作隔熱裝置)?
    在專題研習中，學生會學習如何利用隔熱裝置為特定的空間降溫，學生首先搜集各種日常的隔熱裝置，了解各類型的隔熱物料和隔熱方式，然後學生會在家中利用各種廢物為天台模型(紙箱)加工，設計隔熱裝置，並測試隔熱裝置的效能，最後進行總結及反思。
  • 五年級研習題目(以STEAM為本) : 我可以為家居設計一件智能產品嗎？
    學生學會閉合電路，及MicroBit 的編程後，結合兩個學習元素，為家居設計一件智能產品。
  • 六年級研習題目 : 利用可再生能源—太陽能，有助解決能源短缺的問題嗎？
    學生透過搜集資料，觀察太陽能板及訪問有太陽能板的家庭，從而了解太陽能的應用，讓學生總結和分析研習題目。

科技探究(STEM)

  • 除課堂上有不同科技學習課題的探討外，另每年各級進行小組科技學習活動，學生分組進行科學實驗或探究活動。
